WHEN TO USE THIS DOCUMENT
A Software Licence is a formal document which in which the software owner/publisher (the Licensor) grants the user (the licensee) the right to use their software in accordance with the terms of an agreed licence.
The terms of this licence means that the licensor can decide how long the licence will run for, what the payment will be (the licence fee) and who can use it. For example, the licensor may agree that a particular number of people or workstations can use the software or perhaps allow it to be used by a named organisation or business (e.g. ABC Ltd) or at a particular location (e.g. ABC Ltd head office).
It also allows the licensor include material to accompany the software (such as a user manual) and fully protect the licensor’s ownership and intellectual property rights.
This particular licence is non-exclusive which allows the licensor to issue as many licences as required.
